After learning about the Stamp Act, students used their tickets they earned in class to make a poster. They had to pay for markers, the poster, and any other supplies they needed. Of course, students thought this was unfair to use their hard, earned tickets for frivolous items. But this was the whole point! They definitely felt how the¬†people felt during the time the Stamp Act was enacted. Students then filled out this reflection after a discussion (and received the tickets “spent”).
